Over the course of her tenure with the State Attorney Office, Jessie Weissman, once of Sarasota, FL, completed the Master of Laws in Trial Advocacy (LL.M) curriculum at the Stetson University College of Law. Weissman earned her LL.M degree in May of 2015, the result of taking high-level courses in such subjects as Expert Witnesses, Advanced Evidence, Mastering Voir Dire, Enhanced Litigation and Advocacy, Damages and Discovery/Pretrial Advocacy. In addition, Weissman was responsible for completing both a course and case packet for advanced advocacy students during her time in the Stetson LL.M program. This project focused on a realistic case a hypothetical first-year prosecutor or public defender might face at the outset of their career.
